Guide for contributors

The Dictionary of Sydney includes different kinds of essays and entries, and our policy is to allow individual writers’ voices to shine through, rather than edit heavily to style.

On the other hand, there are general principles for writing effectively online, and a style guide for tricky questions of punctuation, capitalisation and so on.

This guide is designed to help commissioned authors write their entries and make  our editing task quicker and easier.  Please read it before submitting your article to the Dictionary.
